One thing is evident when buying a home in Spring/The Woodlands area – and that’s the steady uptick of exciting new projects and businesses. Our vibrant and growing economy supports a myriad of new restaurants, retails stores, entertainment options and other industry-related businesses. Here are a few examples of what’s opening this season near The Falls, according to Community Impact.
Fajita delivery chain Fajita Pete’s opened its first Spring-area location July 20 in the Birnham Woods Marketplace. The eatery, located at 4127 Riley Fuzzel Road, and held a grand opening celebration July 27. Fajita Pete’s serves fajitas and other Mexican entrees and side dishes as well as frozen margaritas available for dine-in, carry-out and delivery orders.
Spring Creek Greenway
The Spring Creek Greenway Center is holding its grand opening Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1300 Riley Fuzzel Road, Spring, following Hurricane Harvey renovations. The August 2017 storm flooded the center, which is located adjacent to the Peckinpaugh and Spring Trails preserves.
Jax Burgers Fries
A new Jax Burgers Fries & Shakes opened July 12 in Spring. The restaurant is located in the Harmony shopping plaza at 3555 Rayford Road, Ste. 70, and features menu items such as burgers; sandwiches; chicken; hot dogs; french fries; and desserts, including ice cream, floats and milkshakes. The Spring-based Jax opened its first eatery in 2010 and has since expanded to Cypress, Pearland, Tomball and South Padre Island.
All Star Ace Hardware opened June 25 in Spring. The hardware store at 3789 Rayford Road is one of thousands of Ace locations worldwide, with a stock of products including tools, hardware, lighting, paint, garden supplies, outdoor equipment and grills. All Star Ace also features a boutique area selling toys, gifts, children’s clothing, home decor and accessories.
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, located at 9250 Pinecroft Drive, Shenandoah, opened a dedicated neurosciences comprehensive patient care unit July 15. The unit will house its existing 24/7 coverage of complex neurological care in a centralized setting. The unit also houses Montgomery County’s first epilepsy monitoring unit, according to a press release.
WeWork’s newest Houston-area coworking space opened July 1 in Hughes Landing. The office, located at 1725 Hughes Landing Blvd., The Woodlands, offers 52,000 square feet of office space across two floors and can hold around 1,000 desks. Office amenities include on-site parking; support and cleaning staff; and access to conference rooms, common areas and phone booths.
