There’s no time to get tired of the same old places when you live in the middle of a thriving local economy! New restaurants, eateries, boutiques and stores are popping up all over. And they’re just a couple of miles from new homes in The Falls, where residents have easy access to Town Center and everything they need. Here’s a quick list of the exciting new businesses opening up this season, according to recent reports by Community Impact.
Crane’s Dress Boutique
Crane’s Dress Boutique, an expansive fashion showroom in Oak Ridge North’s Wood Ridge Plaza off I-45, features a wide array of gowns for formal and semiformal dress shoppers of all ages. Customers entering the boutique will see dresses in a variety of colors and styles suitable for occasions such as prom, homecoming, cocktail events and weddings. They also have a inventory of its own stock as well as the full lines of every designer with a presence at the boutique and offers sizing for all in-store products and special orders.
The luxury car dealership Northside Lexus completed its move from North Houston to Spring on Sept. 9. The dealership launched its new 149,000-square-foot facility, located at 24222 N. I-45, after more than 20 years of operation at its former Houston space The dealership now covers 23 acres at the mixed-use Cathedral Lakes development in Spring and contains sales and service departments, a collision center and a fully stocked lot of new and pre-owned vehicles.
The seasonal holiday-themed chain Spirit Halloween opened a new location Sept. 13 in Oak Ridge North. Spirit is located at 26914 I-45 N., and sells Halloween costumes, makeup, decorations, animatronics and accessories. According to Spirit’s website, the company now operates more than 1,300 stores across the U.S. and Canada that open annually between August and November—in addition to its year-round online marketplace.
Shack A Bun
Looking for a new restaurant to try in the area? Shack A Bun, a new Chicago-style eatery, opened its doors at 990 Rayford Road, Spring in early August. Shack A Bun’s menu includes Vienna Beef hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, sliders and desserts with featured items like Polish sausage and Italian beef sandwiches. They also have Italian Sausage, combo, steak sandwhiches and sliced chicken hoagies, other styles of hot dogs and salads and topped Mac and Cheese and some sliders.
How about a tasty treat? Santte Foods, a business that manufactures and sells the natural meringue treats “Tidbits,” opened this spring in Oak Ridge North. According to owner Luis Sayrols, Tidbits are gluten-, lactose- and sugar-free, and are made in chocolate, mint chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream, strawberry and cappuccino flavors. Santte Foods operates at 409 Alana Lane, Oak Ridge North.
Peli Peli, the Houston-based South African fusion restaurant, launched its first North Houston location Sept. 3 at The Woodlands Mall. Located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive, Ste. 304, The Woodlands, Peli Peli’s 6,822-square-foot space was recently redesigned in the Cape Dutch architectural style, and now features 215 seats for indoor and outdoor dining, a private event room and a full-service bar.
