Montgomery County housing development along Rayford Road and the Grand Parkway
New planned communities have been popping up around the Grand Parkway new commercial corridor – building thousands of new construction homes by a number of National and local homebuilders. This region is also home to hundreds of acres of undeveloped land. Rayford Road has become an attractive area thanks to its close proximity to major roadways.
“There [are] not new homes in The Woodlands so much because it’s all built-out,” said Lawrence Dean, the Houston regional director of Metrostudy, which provides research and analysis on housing markets nationwide. “South County … becomes more attractive because it’s a shorter distance to central Houston and it’s very close to the Grand Parkway or [I-45].” - excerpt from Community Impact
Residential build-out approaches in The Woodlands for single-family homes
As The Woodlands township gets closer to becoming fully built out, new construction are hard to find. Many homebuyers would love to live close to highly desirable attractions, such as The Waterway, Town Center and Market Street, but feel limited to renovating older homes in the area. Experts say affordable housing in The Woodlands area is scarce
With the average market value of a home in The Woodlands township at $400,000 since 2015, it may seem very difficult to find an affordable home in the area. However, neighboring communities, like Falls at Imperial Oaks, are offering new construction homes from the $250’s that are located just 7 miles of Town Center.
