Summer always comes with plenty of excitement. Schools is out, the pool is open and there are countless of outdoor activities ready for action! To add to the excitement are a couple of new businesses opening up around the neighborhood, including a trendy grocery store, kids museum and gym. See what’s popping up near The Falls, according to reports by Community Impact.
A new Aldi location is expected to open in Spring later this year, the company confirmed. The grocery store is under development at 2412 Rayford Road and will open in late fall. Aldi operates more than 1,600 stores across the country and sells a variety of food, drinks and home items.
The Tex-Mex chain Fajita Pete’s plans to open its first location in The Woodlands area in late June. The new restaurant will be located in the Birnham Woods Marketplace at 4127 Riley Fuzzell Road, Spring. Fajita Pete’s is available for dine-in, delivery and catering, with a menu centered on fajitas, Mexican entrees, side dishes and desserts. The restaurant will also offer frozen margaritas to-go
A new LA fitness club is set to open off the Grand Parkway in Spring on May 15. The gym, located at 3570 Harmony Commons Drive, Spring, will feature a variety of fitness equipment and offer group fitness classes and personal training for its members.
The First Watch
The First Watch dining chain opened its first restaurant in The Woodlands area on May 25. The breakfast, brunch and lunch eatery, located at 1620 Research Forest Drive, Ste. 100, Shenandoah, serves traditional breakfast items like pancakes, waffles, toast, omelets and other dishes featuring eggs in addition to power bowls, salads and sandwiches. First Watch also offers coffee, tea and juices.
Torchy’s Tacos will open a new restaurant in The Woodlands this fall. The eatery will open near The Woodlands Mall at 1555 Lake Woodlands Drive. The Austin-based Tex-Mex chain operates more than 60 locations throughout Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas serving tacos, burritos, side dishes and salad alongside drinks, including featured margaritas, cocktails, beer and wine.
Play Street Museum
Play Street Museum, located at 207 E. Shore Drive, Ste. 190, The Woodlands, is open for business. After seeing a May opening, the museum focuses on a combination of play and learning for visiting children. The museum space can be booked for parties and will also host a variety of special events. Through the month of August, Play Street Museum will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
